What does it cost to build a 2000 sq ft house?
About ₹39.2 lakh to ₹50.1 lakh at standard quality — roughly ₹2,180 per sq ft. Basic finishes bring it to about ₹29.0 lakh; premium takes it to about ₹74.6 lakh.
Which stage costs the most?
The foundation and RCC structure, at ₹650 per sq ft — close to a third of the build. It is also the one stage where economising is a bad idea, because it is the only part you cannot redo later.
Does this include the cost of land?
No. These are construction costs only — material, labour and finishing. Land, boundary walls, approvals and any external development are separate.
How accurate is this estimate?
It is a planning figure, not a quote. It uses the same rate table as the Griffy estimator, and the range allows for the usual variation. What it cannot know is your soil, your plot access or your contractor's rate — for that, get quotes.
