Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Griffy Tech Services Pvt. Ltd. ("Griffy", "we") does not currently take any payment. We connect you with independent professionals and suppliers, and you pay them directly in cash. Because no money passes through us, there is no refund process β€” this page explains what happens instead when you cancel or something goes wrong. Read it alongside our Terms of Service.

1. Nothing is paid to Griffy, so there is nothing for us to refund

Griffy is a discovery and connection platform. We introduce homeowners to independent material suppliers, contractors, labour, and service experts, in the same way a food-delivery app introduces you to a restaurant. We are not the seller of the materials, not the provider of the services, and not a party to the contract you form with them. The agreement to do the work, at a price, on a date, is between you and that professional or supplier.

We currently take no payment at all. Bookings and orders are settled in cash, paid by you directly to the professional or supplier: for services, after the work is done; for materials, on delivery. No money reaches Griffy, and we hold nothing in escrow.

That means there is no refund process, because there is no payment to reverse. Cancelling simply means the job or order does not happen and you owe nothing.

2. Cancelling a material order

You can cancel any time before delivery, at no cost, from the order page. Since you pay the supplier on delivery, cancelling before then leaves nothing outstanding.

If an order arrives damaged, incomplete, or not as listed, do not pay for it β€” refuse the delivery and report the problem from the order page. If you have already paid the supplier in cash and only discover the issue afterwards, contact us and we will take it up with them, but the amount is recoverable from the supplier, not from Griffy.

3. Cancelling a booking

You can cancel a booking at no cost before the professional starts work. Nothing has been charged, so nothing is owed.

If a professional does not accept your booking within the acceptance window, it cancels itself automatically and you owe nothing.

Please cancel as early as you can. A professional who has blocked a slot and travelled to your site has lost real time, and repeated late cancellations may lead us to restrict an account.

4. Paying for work already done

Where a professional has completed part or all of a job, you are expected to pay them in cash for the work actually performed. For multi-day labour bookings, you pay only for the days actually worked, not the full number of days booked.

If you believe the work was not done as agreed, raise it before paying, and use "Report a problem" on the booking so there is a record. Griffy can investigate, mediate, and act against the professional's account, but we cannot recover or withhold money we never held.

5. Disputes

Contact the professional or supplier first β€” most issues resolve that way. If that fails, use the "Report a problem" option on the booking or order, or email team@griffy.in with the ID.

We may suspend or remove a supplier or professional who repeatedly fails to deliver. Pursuing a claim against the responsible party directly, including through consumer courts, remains available to you.

6. When online payment returns

We intend to reintroduce online payment. When we do, this policy will be replaced with one covering refund windows, payment methods, and processing times, and account holders will be notified before it takes effect. It will not be applied retroactively to a cash transaction.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post changes here and, for material updates, notify account holders. Continued use of Griffy after a change means you accept the updated policy.
