SD means superior ductility — the bar bends before it breaks, which is what you want in a seismic zone. Most of Jammu & Kashmir is Zone IV or V.
Corrosion-resistant grades cost more and are worth it near water or where cover concrete is thin. On a dry inland site they usually are not.
Ready-made stirrups cost more per kg than bending your own, and save a day of labour. Worth pricing both ways.
